Cookie policy

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. This page explains the few that can be set when you use the Barn Owl Cottage website.

In short

We don't use any analytics or advertising cookies.
Our visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) store nothing on your device.
Google's map on our Contact page only sets cookies if you click to load it.

Cookies that may be set

The Google map (only if you choose to load it). The map on our Contact page stays switched off until you click to show it. When you do, Google may set cookies in your browser, under Google's privacy policy and how Google uses cookies. This is your choice, and if you don't click, nothing is sent to Google.

Bookings

When you follow a link to book on holidaycottages.co.uk, that site sets its own cookies under its own cookie policy.

Clearing or blocking cookies

You can delete cookies or block them in your browser settings. Look in the "Privacy" or "Cookies" section of Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Edge, or visit ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies for help. Blocking the map's cookies just means the map may not work.

Changes

If we ever want to add cookies that aren't essential, such as for statistics or adverts, we'll ask for your consent first and update this page.
